Why "The Book of Boba Fett" Wasn't As Successful as "The Mandalorian"

I unlike many fans enjoyed the slower paced show. As it gave an insight in the Tusken Raiders (the Sand People) who where entirely thought of as savages until the sign language was used in The Mandalorian. I enjoyed seeing how they came from these rather primitive people to finally ruling over their lands. However, if you were expecting something that was as fast paced and action packed as the Mandalorian you were in for disappointment if you didn't change you expectations after the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett.

I to was quite taken aback by the contrast but I accepted quickly it was going to be slow and just appreciated how pretty the show was. I quite enjoyed the flash back scenes slowly tying in the series together with Return of the Jedi. When Boba Fett gets his jetpack damaged by a blind Han Solo in the battle, on Jabba's luxury sail barge, and falling in to the Sarlacc pit. Many fan theories later we finally see how Boba Fett escaped and claimed Jabba the Hutt's empire for his own.

Seeing Boba Fett slowly heal and have to fight first against and then for the Tusken Raiders was an awesome journey of his training and then their training in turn when they need his help. Even though the show was far slower paced with its action. One side that many fans didn't like was how much he spoke as his reputation was one of more shoot now and ask questions later. So seeing this character speak more wasn't as expected but I like parts of it, some of it just seemed cheesy and didn't fit his serious demeanour. But these scenes weren't too often.

The Mandalorian featuring. Now this wasn't as a good of an idea as two episodes of the show are basically just about the Mandalorian so they could tie in his story line with Book of Boba Fett. These episodes dramatically split fans even further apart at how much they contrasted the two shows. Going back to The Mandalorian's fast paced action just highlighted these differences. I really enjoyed these episodes like many fans did. But the pacing was messed up with the combination of the last episode which ties the two shows together with a mostly satisfactory ending.

However, I'm happy just to have more Star Wars content that isn't related to the sequels. Yes it was slow but, it also had some cool action scenes and tied in the unknown story of Boba Fett's recovery. It also finally answered the question of who would win out of Boba Fett and Cad Bane in the fight. This was a big fan pleasing moment but oh it was so good.
